Asador Monte Mayor was born on June 12, 1973, thanks to the enthusiasm of Rafael and Amparin, who with great effort turned their small country house into a snack bar/merendero with everything needed to serve the neighbors of the urbanization, thus becoming the meeting point for the whole neighborhood, creating a big family and sharing unforgettable moments. Things were growing, so they began offering other products, such as grilled meats and paellas. Thanks to the high demand from customers and friends, Amparin becomes a top-tier rice restaurant, earning recognition with several awards in international gastronomy competitions. Little by little Rafael and Amparin turned the snack bar into a special place for lunch, eating, dinner, family gatherings, etc. Becoming the “BAR MONTE MAYOR” In 1990 Javi took the reins of the family business to turn this bar into what we now know as Asador Monte Mayor. As time passed, Geno joined the family team, and thanks to effort and steady work we have managed to celebrate our 50th anniversary and that we still endure.
